The El Dorado Hills Community Services District is facilitating a Christmas Tree Disposal Event that promotes environmental stewardship and connection amongst community members. Taking place on Saturday, January 6th, 2021, this sustainable event will offer two convenient disposal options; curbside pickup, provided by Boy Scouts troops 454, 465, and 645, and drop-off at the Section 1021 Harvard Way parking lot.

The El Dorado Hills Community Services District is proud to announce the upcoming Christmas Tree Disposal Event in El Dorado Hills, California. This event is designed to provide residents with a convenient and sustainable way to dispose of their trees after the holiday season. Taking place on Saturday, January 6, 2024, the event will offer an opportunity for members of the community to participate in green practices while connecting with each other. This initiative exemplifies the District’s commitment to environmental stewardship and promoting a strong sense of community.

The El Dorado Hills Community Services District is proud to facilitate the Christmas Tree Disposal Event, taking place Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Every resident can choose from two convenient disposal options. Curbside pickup, provided by Boy Scout Troops 454, 465, and 645, is available without prior registration. All residents need to do is place their trees at the curb by 8:00 am with ornaments, lights, nails, and other decorations removed.

Alternatively, residents can drop off their trees at the Community Services District’s north parking lot located at 1021 Harvard Way. The Christmas Tree Disposal Event encourages sustainable practices to reduce waste and benefit the community.

Furthermore, it provides a platform for neighbors to come together and interact with one another while showing their support for local Boy Scout troops. Through the donation envelopes, residents can contribute financially to these troops, enabling them to continue providing invaluable service initiatives to the community. Residents who opt for curbside pickup not only benefit from the convenience of tree removal but also have the chance to support these local Scout troops. These troops generously offer their services free of charge, and residents have the opportunity to donate to the troops through provided donation envelopes. This financial support helps the troops continue their valuable community service initiatives.

The El Dorado Disposal Material Recovery Facility is also available as an alternative drop-off location, providing increased flexibility for those who cannot participate on the designated day. Located at 4100 Throwita Way, Placerville, it operates during normal business hours.

Residents of El Dorado Hills can take pride in their proactive efforts to reduce waste and promote sustainability, while also engaging with the local community and supporting Boy Scout Troops. Through their participation in the Christmas Tree Disposal Event, they can help make a positive impact on January 6, 2024!

The El Dorado Hills Community Services District is committed to providing residents with an opportunity to give back to the environment and promote community building. We encourage folks to take part in either the curbside pickup provided by Boy Scout Troops or the drop-off location at 1021 Harvard Way. Together, we can all celebrate the spirit of the holiday season while also taking steps forward for a more sustainable future.
